Supramolecular Self-Assembled Multivalent Anti-VEGF Protein Nanospheres for Prolonged Ocular Retention.

2025-11-28

On November 28, 2025, the research group of Professor Qiang Feng, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Tsinghua University, worked together with the team led by Professor Youxin Chen from the Department of Ophthalmology, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, and published a research paper in Small entitled Supramolecular Self-Assembled Multivalent Anti-VEGF Protein Nanospheres for Prolonged Ocular Retention. The team successfully developed supramolecular self-assembled multivalent anti-VEGF protein nanospheres (Fer-VD), providing an innovative long-acting, low-viscosity, high-concentration therapeutic candidate for blinding retinal vascular diseases, including diabetic macular edema, retinal vein occlusion, and wet age-related macular degeneration.
